Our Funding.
Niagara Victim Crisis Support Services is a registered charitable organization that receives annual funding from The Ministry of the Attorney General - Victim Services Secreteriate. This funding comes from The Justice Victim Fund - monies collected by The Province of Ontario from Victim Fine Surcharges.
In order to receive this funding, Victim Services adheres to the Victim Crisis Assistance and Referral Services (VCARS) model of service provision, volunteer training standards and program accountability.
"Crisis assistance is provided by carefully selected and specially trained volunteer crisis intervenors who are on call in the Niagara Region - 24 hours, 7 days a week."
Niagara Victim Crisis Support Service is a registered charitable organization (Reg. # 87049 7849 RR0001). As such, NVCSS is the grateful recipient of assistance from a variety of sources.
